2010-11-02 Interview in Östgötatidningen
Today, an interview with Norator was published in Östgötatidningen (Swedish only).
2010-09-13 Norator goes digital!
No, we haven't abandoned our analogue synths. However, we have begun distributing our music digitally via CD Baby.
Our album Med rytmen i rymden is now finally available on Spotify, and you can buy both separate tracks and the full album on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, among others.
Feel free to spread the links to curious friends and acquaintances, and hopefully more people will discover our ongoing space voyage.
2010-08-28 Review in Zero Magazine
The Swedish music magazine Zero Magazine today published their review of Med rytmen i rymden. Not the overwhelmingly positive review we were hoping for, but we've heard that all publicity is good publicity. :)

We are happy to announce that the Radio Plus show Anna's fik is using part of Norator's song Satellit as the new theme song.

2010-07-05 Premiere for Norator merchandise
Today we launch our online store for merchandise.
In the store there are lots of clothes and stuff with Norator print (both in black and white, and in beautifully glowing colours).
There are clothes of several different kinds, coffee mugs and similar, as well as cool mousepads and more.
The products are manufactured by Printfection and according to our references they are of high quality.
Take the opportunity to show your friends and acquaintances that you are a Norator fan. :)
2010-07-02 Page tribute on web radio
This week the German web radio station Synthiepopradio is playing one song every hour from the album Tiden går - en hyllning till Page.
2010-06-30 A tribute to Page
As a tribute to Page, one of Swedens first synth pop bands, 17 different synth bands got together and recorded covers of classic Page songs. Norator contributed with two of the 22 tracks on the double album. Order your unique, numbered, copy of only 500 manufactured.
2010-06-17 Cover av Signal
Today we received a brand new cover of Signal, made by Patric "Pumpan" Dimander. Take a look at our remix & cover page to listen.
2010-02-18 Another Page cover
Since it was so much fun making a Page cover, we took a stab at another one, namely "Hus av glas".
It was completed tonight and has been uploaded to our fan page on Facebook, and will soon appear on one of the tribute pages on MySpace (page 1, page 2).
You can of course also download it directly from us.
We hope you like it!
2010-01-20 Page 30 years
Thirty years ago this year, Sweden got its first synthpop band - Page.
To celebrate this Johan Wejedal gathered several Swedish bands, among them Norator, to record cover versions of their songs, and today the result was launched in the form of two MySpace pages:
We contributed with a cover version of Allt jag pekar på.
Also, later this year the songs will probably be released on CD. As a bonus, Page has announced that they are working on a new album, which we are really looking forward to!
We are extremely proud to be part of this event and we think it's really nice that Eddie, Marina and Anders get recognition for their inspirational contribution to the synth scene in Sweden.
We hope you enjoy our cover just as much as we enjoyed making it.
2009-10-30 Guest DJ
Norator will be appearing as guest DJs at Nuclear Nation's synthpop party on Friday November 6 at L'Orient in Linköping.
We will be playing a mix of Swedish synthpop from 11 PM to midnight. There will also be records for sale and of course we will sign them for those who want.
2009-10-17 Interview in Radio Virus
Norator participated in the radio show Radio Virus. Radio Virus is Swedens now oldest active radio show focused on underground electronic music such as synth, EBM etc. The show started airing back in 1992.
In regard to the release of Med rytmen i rymden, the show featured a phone interview with Kalle och Niklas, and Ett litet steg from the album was played.
The show is available for download as a whole and just the interview.
2009-09-21 Review at Synth.nu
Today, the first official review of Med rymten i rymden was published.
We have received a lot of good feedback from our fans (both positive and negative), and we are of course glad to hear what you think. Do you agree with the review?
2009-08-29 Album release!
Now it has finally happened! The album you have been waiting for for so long is finally here!
If you haven't already ordered a copy, go to the order page to get a big dose of blipping synth pop.
2009-08-14 100 record bookings!
Today we received our 100th record booking. Even though we have already ordered manufacturing of the records, which will arrive very soon, it's really uplifting that we actually reached our goal in terms of pre-bookings.
2009-07-28 Now it's for real!
We have finally finished the mastering of our album "Med rytmen i rymden", and have placed an order for 1000 copies which will arrive within about a week. We are very pleased with the result and we hope you will feel the same.
At the Norberg festival we unfortunately will have to make due without any records, but we will try to promote ourselves and hope to find more happy fans among the festival people.
We will send an email to all who have ordered a record about how the distribution and such will work out, so keep your mailboxes warm!
2009-06-29 Creative Commons
We have decided to license our music, our lyrics and our graphical material under a license called Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported.
In short, this means that anyone is free to share the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that we are attributed, and also to make adaptations (for example remixing a song), as long as the adaptation is licensed equally.
However, we do not allow commercial use without contacting us for an agreement.
2009-06-11 Done mixing!
We sat down on thursday night and did some finishing touches and an overview of all the songs. We had to remix one song since the project file broke, but we feel that it turned out slightly better so we're still happy. They have now been turned over to Peter at Golden Cut who will do the mastering, and we are very eager to hear the result.
All the songs are available on our fan page on Facebook.
You are more than welcome to spread the link to others you think might enjoy our music (they don't need a Facebook account to be able to listen).
2009-05-12 Lots of mixing
The last two months we have been working hard on the mixing, and we now have two songs left to mix, plus a bit of tinkering and a general review. After that comes the mastering and disc manufacturing. So it's progressing at a steady pace.
We have also moved our songs to our fan page on Facebook, where you may listen to the latest mixes for the album, plus a few other songs (you don't need to be a registered user).
2009-03-01 Two songs mixed
This weekend we have remixed 'Rymdens svarta djup' and 'Månbas 5'. We are in other words making progress.
We will now take a short break before we go at it again, but if we can keep up the speed we will hopefully be finished before the Norberg festival this summer, where we plan to go and might also possibly if everything goes well go on stage and do a short live-ish set at the open stage in Camp 303.
We will have to wait and see what happens, first and foremost we will focus on the album.
2009-02-21 Facebook
Since we are so fantastically modern, today we created a fan page on Facebook.
If you like our music you are welcome to become a fan, and we will post info there from time to time.
In other news, we have had a lot of personal things to tend to the last few months, but we will try to get going with the final touches to the album, starting tomorrow!
So keep your eyes on this page, or the fan page at Facebook, and maybe good news will turn up soon.
2008-12-07 Guestbook and drums
In an attempt to reduce the amount of spam, we have chosen to exclude links from guestbook entries, and also to disallow them in the message body. Please e-mail if you have a link you want to share with us, and we'll add them to the links page or edit your guestbook entries to include them.
We will try and get going with the record, but it will probably not be before christmas.
We are glad to announce that Kalle went on a shopping spree this autumn and purchased a digital drum set, which he is good at practicing on. Coming releases might therefore include "genuine" drum playing.
2008-08-02 Translated site
As a service to potential visitors who do not read Swedish, we have translated this site the past few days. You can reach it through the 'In English' menu item on the left (and you probably already found it since you are reading this :) ). All pages are hopefully correctly translated, but please let us know if you find any errors. We skipped translating the old news however - it didn't feel very relevant.
2008-07-30 First remix
Today we finally finished the remix of the song Rette Sich Wer Kann by the German group Hertzinfarkt. It has been nagging us like a bad conscience for a while, but last weekend Kalle finally got his act together and recorded the backing voclas. After that Niklas has fiddled with it some more until we felt it was completed.
Hertzinfarkt seems to like it and we hope both our and their fans like it too.
2007-12-08 Last song
Throughout saturday the last song was recorded to the point where family obligations got priority. There is a bit left to polish, and as before some changes and additions will be made, except from mixing. So we will unfortunately not be able to get the record out by the end of the year, but we hope to be able to provide a pleasent spring instead.
2007-07-30 Recordings in progress
This wednesday we recorded Min egen robot, and now we have only one song left to record. Then we will do some overdubs and minor changes.
After that the mixing is to be completed on the last songs and the whole album needs a check before it is sent off to mastering.
If all goes well we will have an album to print in the fall.
2007-01-03 The guestbook again
Today I got feed up with all the damn spam in the guestbook and put a hard link on at most one link in each entry, except the one that should go to the authors homepage or similar. Let's hope it stops the worst flood. It's unfortunate that it is needed.
2006-10-08 Guestbook
To avoid the huge amount of spam in our guestbook (why do the bots have any interest in us?) we have implemented a block list. It could perhaps give you problems. If it doesn't work, try rephrasing or send us an email with what you wanted to say and we will see if our filter perhaps is a bit too harsh.
2006-06-25 Bonus songs
We have now travelled just over half way to the stars on our journey towards pressing CD:s. When we have passed 55 orders, those who signed up got a small bonus song. The next bonus song comes when we have reached 75 records. So if you liked the last one, spread the word so that we accelerate the rocket.
2006-04-19 Album orders
Our rocket has taken off and we are headed for the stars. For every record that you sign up for you give the rocket lift.
When we have reached the stars we can share the laser information.
2006-02-15 Guestbook opened
In our air lock now lies a brand new guestbook, with one of those pens that work in zero gravity, for you to sign when you have visited.
2006-01-26 Norator homepage sees the light.
Today, we loosen the moorings and let you follow along on our space odyssey.
